“Receiving a perfect score on the HRC’s Corporate Equality Index is a testament to our culture,” said Sallie Larsen, LPL’s Managing Director and Director of Human Capital. “Diversity is essential to improving the culture of any company, and this is especially true at LPL where diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) are so intrinsic to our success. LPL’s Pride Alliance ERG has spearheaded several initiatives over the past year, including partnering with the San Diego LGBT Community Center to package food donations for low-income seniors and members of the LGBTQ+ community; host a D&I fireside chat to raise employee awareness of the company’s Advisor Inclusion Council; and partnering with Talent Acquisition to host a job fair at Charlotte Pride to expand recruitment of LGBTQ+ talent.
“When the Human Rights Campaign Foundation created the Corporate Equality Index 20 years ago, we dreamed that LGBTQ+ workers – from the factory floor to the corporate office, in big cities and small towns – could have access to the policies and benefits needed to thrive and live authentically,” said Jay Brown, Senior Vice President of Programs, Research and Training, Human Rights Campaign. “We are proud that the Corporate Equality Index has paved the way for this reality for countless LGBTQ+ workers in America and abroad. But there’s still more to do, which is why we’re once again raising the bar to create fairer workplaces and a brighter future for LGBTQ+ workers everywhere. »
