NEWARK, New Jersey–(BUSINESS WIRE)–February 14, 2022–

digitalundivided, the leading nonprofit leveraging the power of data, programs and advocacy to catalyze economic growth for Latin and Black women entrepreneurs, is partnering with JPMorgan Chase’s Advancing Black Pathways to launch the intensive program of and Grants, BREAKTHROUGH in Dallas, Texas. Following the program’s success in the Greater Los Angeles area last year, BREAKTHROUGH returns to support Latin and Black women entrepreneurs with innovative and tech ventures in Dallas, TX. Applications for this BREAKTHROUGH cohort are now open until Tuesday, February 22, 2022.

“Breakthrough Dallas is an exciting opportunity for Black and Latina women entrepreneurs to gain access to business mentors who can help them chart a path to growth, prosperity and generational wealth. These mentors will help them grow their operating models, strengthen their finances, develop marketing strategies and connect to local resources,” said Terri Thomas, Chase Community Manager in Dallas. “This is exactly the kind of collaboration our community needs. .”

This year, BREAKTHROUGH aims to unite founders in the greater Dallas, TX area with disruptive digital capabilities and provide them with a $5,000 grant and access to an intensive, high-impact activity organized to accelerate their business at above the five-digit revenue mark. The Accelerated Business Program will support start-up women entrepreneurs of color with income-generating businesses and help take their businesses to the next level. The selected cohort of Dallas-based founders will have access to an exclusive session with Daymond John, founder of FUBU and star of Shark Tank.

BREAKTHROUGH will select start-up businesses with a minimum annual revenue of $50,000. It will provide founders with access to local resources and a comprehensive program focused on supporting founders to develop growth marketing strategies, understand customer analytics, and identify types of seed funding. Additionally, the program emphasizes the critical importance of mentorship and community and creates a network of female entrepreneurs and mentors. “My biggest lesson from the program is the importance of having a vibrant community of women to help you build,” said Talia Boone, Founder and CEO of Postal Petals and Los Angeles BREAKTHROUGH 2021 attendee.

Eligibility criteria

  • Identify as a Latina or Black woman
  • Have an established business in the Dallas, TX area, registered for at least one year
  • Have a majority stake in an established business with demonstrated traction
  • Have a technological component in their business (website or mobile application)
  • Generate an annual business income of at least $50,000
