Company News: Monifa A. Wilcox Hired by CenterState CEO

CEO of CenterState announced to have hired Monifa A. Wilcox as vice president of human resources. She has more than 20 years of experience in the field of human resources. Most recently, Wilcox served as Vice President of Human Resources at Saint Vincent de Paul Baltimore, a leading provider of community services to those suffering the effects of hunger, homelessness and poverty in the Baltimore area. In this capacity, and as a member of the organization’s executive committee, she developed the organization’s strategic plan and managed budget development and all functional areas of human resources.
This position will serve the CEO of CenterState as well as its organizational partners, including the Syracuse Downtown Committee, Visit Syracuse, the CNY International Business Alliance and Electronics Park LLC.

In her role as Vice President of Human Resources, Wilcox will oversee the general administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resources function, including training and policy implementation, analysis and administration. payroll and benefits; and the human resources information system. She is also responsible for the design, implementation and communication of the organization’s talent management strategy, including recruitment support, performance management and employee engagement. Wilcox will also take the lead in shaping the organizational culture that leverages inclusion, trust, transparency and accountability.
Wilcox obtained a Master of Science in Advanced Business Education course from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology of University of Maryland. She holds advanced certificates in personnel and industrial management and economics. Wilcox is also a long-time member of the Society of Human Resources.
