The District Commanders Program will provide residents and business owners of municipal districts with a single point of contact who knows the details of crime patterns and other issues in a given neighborhood.
“I am extremely excited about the district commanders,” Allio said in a press release. “It provides each of our city districts with their own local ‘police chief’ that residents and business owners can contact to help them resolve their concerns and issues. “
District Commanders will enable collaborative problem solving between city government and the community we serve using the latest trends in intelligence and crime, as well as input from community members. In the future, the program will organize district command and community collaboration events and dialogue sessions.
District commanders will also conduct community surveys to enable input from stakeholders in each respective district.
