I have been fortunate to know Anna Eshoo for years, first as a constituent and more recently as a valued partner and friend. It wasn’t hard to appreciate it when I was purely a voter. His work ethic, integrity and humanity are evident, as is his respect for democracy and the institution of Congress. I have always respected her, I have always been proud to vote for her.

But in my role in the State Senate, my respect for her has only deepened because I have been able to work closely with her. I have seen her incredible dedication and efficiency as well as the integrity and dignity she brings to her role. She’s a wonderful partner, leader, teammate, and she used every tool at her disposal to deliver for her district.

Anna Eshoo is a phenomenally skilled legislator who has used her congressional connections to secure funding for Caltrain’s cleantech and electrification. She is a senior member of key committees (energy and commerce, technology and communications, health). On these committees, she has made significant achievements in healthcare and online privacy, among many other issues. Congresswoman Eshoo’s work on these committees has helped make Silicon Valley what it is today, and her continued work will ensure it remains a hub of innovation well into the future.

As your state senator, I have to make tough decisions every day. As a neighbor and voter in the new Congressional District 16, the choice is very simple. Please join me in voting for Anna Eshoo by Tuesday June 7th.

State Senator Josh Becker
