Kanye West to open Donda Academy Prep School after mother’s name, Entertainment News
The American rapper and songwriter Kanye West is said to have planned to open a preparatory school in California.
According to People magazine, several reports suggest the 44-year-old rapper is looking to open a private school called Donda Academy, named after his late mother Donda West.

The institution would open on the site where a former private school once stood, between Simi Valley and Moorpark, a media outlet reported. A website that appears to be aimed at the school promises to provide students with “a world-class education that includes a rigorous core curriculum and an emphasis on sustainability, creativity, critical thinking and problem-solving,” this which makes them the “next generation of leaders, thinkers and innovators.” that of Sierra Canyon, the school currently attended by Bronny James, the son of LeBron James.
The Donda Academy, which is said to be supported by Adidas, will include juniors Jalen Hooks among its members, the outlet added. Hooks already has offers from a variety of colleges, including Michigan State and Purdue, among others.

He said: “It was also more of a family decision. We all felt it was a chance to reach my full potential, to grow and prepare for college level.” Reports suggest other athletes including Robert Dillingham, Jahki Howard and Zion Cruz are also linked to the school.
According to People magazine, the Donda Academy website currently appears to be accepting applications, although it does not include information on tuition fees or when the school opens.
