Diversity and Inclusion Facilitator – IT-Online
This position is responsible for the design and delivery of D&I programs and initiatives to support the transformation of D&I intent and strategic plans.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
Commercial / human strategy and commercial partnership:
Work closely with the Senior Director of Diversity and Inclusion to manage and execute Massmart’s strategic diversity and inclusion priorities.
Look for innovative ways to develop Massmart’s culture of inclusion, and work closely with HR and business experts to achieve them.
Implements and executes approved transformation initiatives or programs related to the D&I strategy; coordinate goals and compliance and identify obstacles in functional areas of staff to achieve set goals.
Support interactions with respective Group committees on the advancement of D&I and change initiatives.
Keep abreast of developments, best practices and trends in D&I efforts in the industry.
Influence a culture of collaboration and the sharing of D&I ideas and practices throughout the company.
Help evaluate the diversity programs of current suppliers already in place, optimize and amplify across the company for the improvement of customer relationships and business.
Facilitating diversity and inclusion:
Evaluate the effectiveness of the program against business objectives.
Conducting diversity surveys and benchmarking as needed
Coordinate corporate sponsorship and associate participation in diversity programs for professional organizations.
Manages the facilitation of learning activities by performing basic trainings for associates on simple systems and processes; use learning systems to monitor, track and report learning activities.
Design the competition and execute training sessions in group and individual facilitation
Help identify and deliver professional development workshops aimed at giving management and associates the tools necessary to nurture diverse, equitable and inclusive work environments.
Help ensure that D&I budget and expenses match annual training and development allocations.
D&I learning and transformation solutions:
Timely submission of employment equity reports internally and to the Ministry of Labor.
Measures the effectiveness of the training by creating evaluations to determine the reaction, knowledge and behavior of the participants, as well as the impact on the business; implementation of evaluations; review and interpret participant comments and evaluation results.
Ensure alignment of D&I initiatives with best practices and benchmarks against industry competitors; guarantee a high level application of D&I solutions by evaluating the quality of training material in the company.
Understand gaps in content and learning materials in order to recommend and implement adjustments to training content.
Provide feedback to the Senior Director of D&I for process and program improvements; make recommendations and implement solutions to improve D&I learning initiatives in the organization.
Develops technology-based learning solutions strategy by examining, analyzing and evaluating new technologies to meet D&I training needs.
Help analyze internal metrics related to the D&I strategy.

Minimum academic and professional qualifications and experience required for this position:
Relevant bachelor’s degree and minimum of 4 to 7 years of experience in human resources / diversity and inclusion or a related field.
3-4 years of experience in training and facilitation, particularly in the areas of diversity and inclusion.
Demonstrated ability to successfully engage diverse audiences through instructor-led training programs.
Proven experience in managing multiple projects of varying complexity across all business functions.
Advanced in PowerPoint and other presentation and engagement tools / software (e.g. Powtoons, Slido, MentiMeter, etc.)
Proficiency in MS Office (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word) and ability to use learning management software (LMS).
Understanding and knowledge of SA legislation and knowledge of respective HR policies, procedures and processes.
